By signing up for courses I agree:

  • complete all tests and final exams independently;
  • independently prepare all written statements posted on Copernicus College websites;
  • create and maintain only one user account, and do not share your account login information with others;
  • not to take any iniquitous actions aimed at improving your own performance in tests and exams and/or degrading the performance of other users;
  • not to publish on the Forum the correct answers given by yourself in tests and exams, or share them in any other form with other users.

CC users are encouraged to:

  • familiarizing themselves with all the materials available in each course;
  • completing homework;
  • asking questions of course instructors on the Forum;
  • discussing with other users on the Forum.

Regulations for the provision of electronic services for the Copernicus College website, together with the privacy policy (version dated 27.09.2019).

These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter: "Terms and Conditions") set forth the rules of access, privacy and provision of services through the website (hereinafter: "Service") operated by the Service Provider. Before you log in or create a new account, you should familiarize yourself with these Terms and Conditions.

I. General information

  1. The Site is operated by the Service Provider: CENTRUM KOPERNIKA FOUNDATION with its registered office in Kraków, Plac Szczepański 8, 31-011 Kraków, NIP: 6762385496, REGON: 120743627, entered in the register of associations, other social and professional organizations, foundations and independent public health care institutions kept by the District Court for Kraków - Śródmieście in Kraków XI Economic Department under the KRS number 0000311106, e-mail: info@copernicuscenter.edu.pl.
  2. The Service Provider can be contacted using email info@copernicuscenter.edu.pl or college@copernicuscenter.edu.pl.

II. Definitions

Terms of Service - these rules and regulations, made available in a form that allows it to be saved and reproduced and read by the User at any place and time. With regard to services provided electronically, the Terms of Service are the terms and conditions referred to in Article 8 of the Act of July 18, 2002 on Providing Services by Electronic Means (Journal of Laws of 2002, No. 144, item 1204, as amended), available at copernicus-college-teak-stage.raccoongang.net.

  1. The service is available at: copernicus-college-teak-stage.raccoongang.net.
  2. Certificate - a document confirming the completion of a course.
  3. Service Provider - the entity specified in I.1 above, provides Services free of charge through the Site, under the terms and conditions specified in these Regulations, being liable to Users in this regard, except for the situation where the User orders a certificate in paper form.
  4. User - a natural person, using any services provided by the Service Provider.
  5. Registered User - a User who has created an account on the Site, obtaining a unique login and password, having access to Services closed after logging in.
  6. Services - all services available on the Site provided electronically to Users.
  7. Account - a set of resources and permissions in the Site's computer system available to Users free of charge, giving them the ability to use the Services.
  8. Materials - texts, photos, graphics, video materials, multimedia materials, excerpts from articles and others, made available by the Service Provider on the Site as part of the services provided.
  9. Forum - a separate space marked, in particular, by the words "Discussions", "Comments", "Forum", made available to Registered Users by the Service Provider free of charge for the purpose of posting comments on specific topics and learning about and commenting on the statements of other Users.

III. Types and scope of services provided

  1. As part of the Site, the User may use the following Services: read selected Materials provided by the Service Provider in such a way that the User may access them at a time and place of his/her choosing through the Site.
  2. Access to the Service is free of charge.

IV. Rules for using the Website and technical activities constituting the procedure for concluding a contract:

  1. The creation of an account on the Website is done through the page copernicus-college-teak-stage.raccoongang.net, by clicking on the "Register" button and entering the User's data into the form, such as: first name, last name, e-mail address, user name and password. Providing the above data is necessary to provide the service electronically.
  2. After creating an account on the Website, you will receive a welcome message (confirmation that you can use the Website) to the email address you provided.
  3. The welcome message will contain a confirmation of the conclusion of the agreement, these Terms and Conditions and a link to click on or copy into the address field of your browser. The link will take the User to the page copernicus-college-teak-stage.raccoongang.net, where the User will be able to log in to the Service by clicking on the "Log in" button at the top of the page and entering the User's name and password.
  4. The created account allows you to log in to the Service.
  5. All e-mails from the system (including terms and conditions of contracts) will be sent to the e-mail address provided during account creation. Entering an e-mail address is necessary for the proper provision of services through the pages of the website (including the transmission of terms and conditions of contracts). The address is not made available to the public.

V. Terms of service

  1. The contract for the provision of services is concluded for an indefinite period of time between the Service Provider and the User, and the User's first login to the Site requires familiarization with the content of these Regulations.
  2. The Service Provider carries out day-to-day supervision of the technical functioning of the Site, ensuring the correctness of its operation, and to the extent of the services provided, is responsible for its correct operation.
  3. The Service Provider is obliged to perform without defects and is liable if the performance is defective, in particular due to physical or legal defects.
  4. The user is obliged to comply with the provisions of these Regulations, as well as to use the Website in accordance with its purpose and refrain from any activity that may interfere with its proper functioning, in particular through the use of certain software and devices.
  5. The User is also obliged to use the Site in a manner consistent with social and moral norms and the law, in particular, not to provide content that violates the rights of the Service Provider of other Users or third parties, violates their personal rights and intellectual property rights, including copyrights and any other content inciting violence, hatred, containing pornographic, vulgar, obscene, hateful, aggressive, discriminatory and other such content.
  6. The User is also obliged not to undertake activities such as: sending or posting unsolicited commercial information (so-called spam) within the Service, registering the User several times on the Service, using other Users' accounts or sharing login data with other Users, and undertaking IT or any other activities aimed at gaining possession of other Users' passwords.
  7. All materials posted on the Copernicus College Website are made available to users on the following terms:
    1. The User is entitled to use any Materials and Articles posted on the Website solely for private use, as defined in Article 23 of the Law of February 4, 1994 on Copyright and Related Rights (hereinafter the Law).
    2. The User may download the aforementioned Materials for personal use, on non-business devices.
    3. An exception to the above rule is the dissemination of content, posted on the Website under the rights of quotation (Article 29 of the Law).
    4. Use of the Materials in any other way requires the consent of the entities authorized to dispose of the property. Making the Materials and Articles available to persons other than relatives, including posting them on the Internet in a way that provides access to an unlimited audience is, prohibited.
    5. The User, having an account on the Service, agrees that the content of his/her statements, including comments presented on the Service, may be used for the purposes of organizing the Courses and improving the quality of the posted content.
  8. If the User is found to be in violation of the provisions set forth in the paragraphs above, the Service Provider is authorized, under the terms of applicable law, to remove the content posted by the User, as well as to take any action to repair the resulting damage.
  9. The Service Provider may deprive the User of the right to use the Site, as well as may restrict the User's access to some or all of the Site's resources or Services offered on the Site, with immediate effect, in the event that the User is found to have violated these Regulations or applicable laws.
  10. The User is obliged to immediately notify the Service Provider of any unauthorized use of the User's account, as well as of any violation of the rules set forth in these Regulations.

VI. Forum Rules

  1. As part of the Services, Registered Users have the opportunity to use the Forum by commenting on Materials posted on the Site by the Service Provider.
  2. Comments posted by Users should comply with the applicable law, rules of social coexistence and good morals, as well as these Regulations, in particular par. V paragraphs 4 and 5.
  3. The Service Provider is not responsible for the content posted by Users as part of comments on Materials provided by the Service Provider.
  4. Subject to Paragraph 5 below, Service Provider shall not be obliged to check the Forum for any data transmitted, stored or shared by Service Provider.
  5. In the event that the Service Provider receives official notice or obtains credible knowledge of the unlawful nature of the posted comments or related activity, the Service Provider shall immediately prevent access to such data by deleting it. Users shall be held personally liable on general principles for the content so transmitted.
  6. Users have the option to report abuse by contacting the Service Provider.

VII. Technical requirements necessary to use the Service

  1. The use of the Site is possible provided that the User's computer system meets the following minimum technical requirements: a) use of the following browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer supporting CSS and Java Script b) access to the Internet c) the browser must accept cookies d) pop-up windows enabled e) operating system Microsoft Windows XP or higher, Linux, OSX 10.4 or higher.
  2. The Service Provider is not responsible for the proper operation of the Website if the User's computer hardware and software do not meet the above technical requirements.
  3. The Service Provider is not responsible for the User's excessively overloaded Internet connection, as well as other inter-operator links. It is also not responsible for disruptions in the functioning of the Site caused by unauthorized interference of Users, in any way independent of the Service Provider.
  4. In the event that it is necessary to make changes and improvements to the system or carry out maintenance work or equipment failure, the Service Provider reserves the right to temporarily interrupt the operation of the Site. Users will be notified of the aforementioned technical interruptions and their duration through a message sent to the e-mail address provided when creating an account or information published on the Site.

VIII. Complaint procedure

  1. Complaints regarding the functioning of the Website and the Services provided may be submitted by the User via e-mail to the following address info@copernicuscenter.edu.pl or college@copernicuscenter.edu.pl. The service provider undertakes to diligently investigate the circumstances of the irregularity.
  2. In order to be processed as quickly as possible, the complaint should include a description of the reason for the complaint and the data necessary to identify the User, including his address.

IX. Termination of Services

  1. The User may at any time resign from using the Services by deleting the Account established on the Website.
  2. A statement expressing the will to delete the Account may be made by the User via e-mail by sending it to the following address info@copernicuscenter.edu.pl or college@copernicuscenter.edu.pl. The User will receive confirmation of the resignation and deletion of the Account to the e-mail address provided during the Account creation procedure.
  3. The Agreement may be terminated by the Service Provider in the case of gross violation by the User of these Regulations or applicable laws, with immediate effect. The statement is made to the e-mail address indicated by the User at registration.
  4. The service provider also has the right to terminate the contract with 30 days' notice, subject to the requirements of the Civil Code.
  5. The Service Provider reserves the right to amend these Regulations for the following important reasons: (a) if the modification of the Terms and Conditions is necessary due to a change in generally applicable law or due to the recognition of a provision of the Terms and Conditions as prohibited - respectively, in this regard; (b) implementation of an obligation arising from a final court decision or a decision of administrative authorities; (c) changes resulting from security considerations, including those aimed at preventing the use of the service in a manner contrary to the law or these Terms and Conditions; (d) introduction of significant changes in the functioning of the Service, including those related to technical or technological progress, including changes in the Service Provider's systems.
  6. The Regulations including the changes made in accordance with the preceding paragraph will be made available to Users on the Site 14 days in advance.
  7. These Regulations are available on the sites included in the Site and at the Service Provider's office indicated in these Regulations.
  8. The Agreement may be concluded only in the Polish language.
  9. In matters not covered by these Regulations, the relevant provisions of generally applicable law shall apply.

The regulations are effective as of September 27, 2019.
