FAQ

1. Is registering for the service and taking courses really completely free?

Yes!

2. I did not receive an email after registration and my account is not active, what can I do?

Please wait one hour after registration and also check your Spam folder.

If you have further problems with registration, please send an email to college@copernicuscenter.edu.pl.

3. Who can attend a course at Copernicus College?

Everyone. All you need to do is create a free account and enrol in the course of your choice.

4. Something is not working. Where can I report it?
5. When can I receive my course completion certificate?

For most of our courses, you can obtain a certificate confirming that you have passed. This does not apply to courses in which a note has been posted stating that it is not possible to pass.

If you pass a course, there will be an option to generate a special certificate in your index, confirming that you have completed the course. You can download it in PDF format.

Guest lectures do not culminate in an examination and no certificate can be obtained for attendance.

6. What are the conditions for passing the course?

In order to pass a course, you must:

  • (1) read the contents of the course
  • (2) pass additional mandatory assignments or quizzes (where indicated)
  • (3) pass the examination and obtain the required final grade.

Final evaluation:

  • (a) for courses with homework, it is calculated on the basis of the scores for homework and exam;
  • (b) for courses without homework, it is calculated on the basis of the examination score.

It is easy to determine whether the situation in (a) or (b) occurs in a particular course.

If "homework assignments" appear in the course content, this means that you need a certain number of points for homework assignments and an exam to pass the course. If "tests" appear in the course content, this means that you only need to pass the final exam to pass the course.

Information on the conditions for passing the course can also be found under "progress".

7. What are the examinations like?

For most of our courses, the final module is an exam, which usually consists of a dozen or more test questions (single or multiple choice). In order to take it, you must have attended a specific part of the lectures.

For some courses, the solution of homework assignments is also required for credit. See point 6.

If you are a few points short, you can take the exam in the next edition. It is not possible to make an additional approach to the exam available.

If you unsubscribe from the course and re-enrol during the edition, this will not enable another attempt to pass.

8. What is needed to participate in the course?

You will, of course, need a computer with internet access - studying at Copernicus College involves listening to recorded lectures, reading excerpts from texts, solving online assignments and so on.

All courses are open to everyone, but some may assume that students have some knowledge or skills in a particular area. Often you will be able to gain these by taking another, more basic course at Copernicus College.
